How famous are you? Seriously. In your neighbourhood and around the world? Being world famous is cool, and sometimes it may be important, but for most of us being famous in our own back yard is good enough. Here's a case in point. In New Zealand there's a drink called Lemon and Paeroa (L&P to its friends). It's "world famous in New Zealand", so famous it has its own statue. But I'll bet you've never heard of it, and they probably don't care. Watch this rather weird video if you need a laugh for the day (isn't that Jermaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords doing the voiceover?). We want to To View More >>

In Workspace it's so easy to control how you share your images, and who with. From the top... 1. Privacy status - toggle between public (anybody can view the collection), private (people need to know the sharing URL or the password you set), or semi-private (same as private but people can see the feature image - looks so much better on your Workspace website). 2. Enable shopping cart - you can sell images from any collection you choose, even on our Free plan. Coming to mobile slideshows very soon. 3. You can set up as many price lists as you like in Workspace, and choose which one is best for To View More >>

LOST MEMORIES (French, English Subtitles) from Francois Ferracci on Vimeo. We saw this clip recently and it really resonated with us. Not only do we work in an industry that values the physical, but it's an important reminder of how easily our memories can be lost if we're not careful with them. I shared the video with Heather, which opened up an interesting discussion. "The printed image and the written word are the only way to directly access the past," she says. "We have family images captured on slides, but now it's hard to find a projector for them. Same for 8mm movie projectors. Tape VCRs To View More >>

We love beautiful things, and we absolutely admire the people who make them, so here are two links for you. The first shows the making of a limited edition Leica M9-P, made in collaboration with Hermès. As the video says, no wonder it's so damned expensive. That's OK. As one of the commenters says, we'll just stand quietly behind the velvet rope and watch. The second is Signé Chanel, Loïc Prigent's seven year-old TV series about the creation of Chanel's Fall/Winter 2004-2005 collection. I wish I could show you some video, but I can't. Which is a pity, because if you value craftsmanship, it's To View More >>
